Deafly Murders...
Got the following news from Mike McConnell:
Freedom, PA - A 46 year old Deaf man, Thomas Simich, Jr., shot and murdered his sister and brother-in-law, both Deaf, at their Deaf parents' home where Thomas also reside.
Thomas apparently became upset at the prospect of selling the home as was discussed by family members. An argument ensued and Thomas retrieved a 20-gauge shotgun and shot his sister, Marilyn Bregman and his brother-in-law, Steven Bregman, to death at close range. The Bregmans were visiting from Palm Bay, Florida. The parents, Thomas Sr. and wife, fled to a neighbor's house and requested help.
The Bregmans leave behind 4 Deaf children, ages 14, 16, 18, 23.
