Patrick
Patrick rolled into town yesterday. Yes, that red headed guy from NJ. He's checking into graduate school. It was good to see him once again. It's been 5 years since we last saw him in person. I kept in touch with him sporadically via AIM.
Anyways, we ate out at Applebee's for dinner. We caught up on so many things. He's been rolling with the punches that life has thrown in his way. We talked about getting/growing old. I noticed that as we get older, we start talking about growing old and feeling the effects on our bodies. Aches here and there. The inability to do some stuff. The dependency of prescribed medicine. Ah, isn't life fun?
Came back to our house and chatted some more. He spent the night. Now, he's around town checking out graduate studies and opportunities.
Oh, he's the same ol' guy but has mellowed pretty much. It's nice to know that you can meet up with people once again, after some years, and just catch up on news and life like hens without feeling awkward due to the long absence.
Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable time.
