I TiVo'd this movie only because Vincent D'Onofrio was in it. Vincent, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Meloni are the actors I think are hot.
If you like political movies with a little conspiracy theory mixed, then Steal This Movie is for you.
Vincent plays Abbie Hoffman/Barry Freed, a hippie but genius political activist who went underground for 6 years to avoid an arrest from the CIA.
A reporter is trying to do an article on Abbie Hoffman. He was directed by Abbie to speak to a few people who could tell him stories about Abbie's political activites during the 60's. So, the reporter goes to various people, especially his wife, Anita, and take strolls on memory lane.
You could say that Abbie was a man ahead of his time. He saw things the way that no one else did. He spoke out against the war and the way business was handled in the government. President Nixon sicced the CIA to spy on Abbie and his people.
Abbie was for revolutionary changes as he cited former presidents of America who advocated them. He believed that it will be the young people that will bring revolutionary changes from generation to generation.
Anyways, this was a good movie, although there were a couple of dry patches in the film.
